Student Orientation

Welcome to Providence Hospitals!  Providence Hospitals believes that students learn better in a supportive environment. For this reason, Providence strives to create a student friendly atmosphere where students can gain experience and develop confidence in skills while completing or continuing education.  We sincerely believe you will find your educational experience here a rewarding one. 

To familiarize you with our facility, we developed an online orientation learning module for you to complete. The module must be completed once a year prior to the commencement of your Providence experience. Please note that depending on your specialty, you may be required to complete additional modules. For example, clinical students will have additional modules for the hospital charting system whereas shadow students are only required to complete the orientation module.  To acess the module click on Your Learning Management System below

In order to remain in compliance with hospital policies, The Joint Commission guidelines and DHEC regulations, there are also a few forms that must be completed by all students annually and kept on file at Providence. Failure to complete forms will delay the start of the clinical rotation. Forms can be found under the Student Forms link below.
