Eric Norwood Named Providence All-Heart Player of the Week

Eric Norwood, a defensive end from Acworth, Georgia, was named All-Heart Player of the Week by Coach Spurrier and the University of South Carolina coaching staff. The All-Heart award is presented to individuals who display leadership, initiative and “heart” in athletics, academics, and life.

Norwood, a 6’ sophomore, had six tackles, including one for a loss in the season opener against Louisiana-Lafayette on September 1. Eric helped lead the defense as the gamecocks put together two goal-line stances in the fourth quarter of the game.
