Providence Hospitals Announces Appointment of New Executive Director of Revenue Cycle

Jho R. OutlawJho R. Outlaw has been promoted from her position as the director of patient access and financial services to executive director of revenue cycle for Sisters of Charity Providence Hospitals. Outlaw will be responsible for leading an efficient revenue cycle process for Providence Hospitals and Augustine Health Group, LLC.

Outlaw began working at Providence Hospitals in June 2004 as the director of patient financial services. Prior to becoming a Providence employee, Outlaw had 12 years of leadership responsibilities at McLeod Regional Medical Center and Carolinas Hospital System in Florence.

Outlaw is eager to take on new challenges and responsibilities. She says, “I look forward to the expanded responsibility and the opportunity to support the mission of the hospital and the needs of the community.”

A business graduate of the University of South Carolina and a native of Sumter, Outlaw is the daughter of Alice L. Robertson and the late Charles W. Robertson. She and her husband Tony, their daughter Dalton and son Tony, Jr. (Tee) reside in Bishopville.

Owned by the Sisters of Charity Health System, Sisters of Charity Providence Hospitals is known statewide for its compassionate care. Our non-profit organization is licensed for 304 beds and is comprised of four entities: Providence Hospital, Providence Heart & Vascular Institute, Providence Hospital Northeast and Providence Orthopaedic & Neuro Spine Institute. Providence Hospital, located in downtown Columbia, was founded by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Augustine in 1938. The facility is best known for the expertise in cardiac care it provides through Providence Heart & Vascular Institute, which is recognized statewide as a referral center for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Providence Hospital Northeast was established in 1999 and offers a range of medical services in surgery, emergency care, women’s and children’s services and rehabilitation. Providence Northeast is home to Providence Orthopaedic & Neuro Spine Institute, which provides medical and surgical treatment of diseases and injuries of the bones, joints and spine.
