We offer flexible birthing options that let you and your family choose the experience that’s right for you. We have state-of-the-art medical technology along with nurses who believe in good old-fashioned care to ensure the safe delivery of your baby. At Providence Hospital Northeast, we believe personalized care for you and your baby is our priority. It is our goal to exceed your expectations.

Arrival

When it’s time to come to the hospital, please enter through the maternity entrance to the right of the hospital’s main entrance. From there, take the private elevator to the maternity unit on the third floor. Our staff will be ready to help you get settled and comfortable in your suite.

Videotaping & Webcasting

Videotaping is permitted during non-emergent vaginal deliveries with your physician’s approval. Video cameras are not, however, allowed in the Cesarean section suite during a Cesarean delivery. Videotaping with cell phones is not permitted.

Providence Hospital Northeast provides webcasting of the birth of your child for military families or those whose significant other is not stateside. Webcasting allows your partner to see the birth of your child by watching streaming video over the Internet.

Visiting Hours

We encourage family members to drop by any time you want visitors. Regular visiting hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Tours

Tours of our nursery and maternity suites are available every Sunday after 2 p.m. There is no need to schedule an appointment. Simply come to Providence Hospital Northeast and enter through the main lobby. Tell the information desk attendant that you are here for a nursery tour, and they will contact a member of our staff.

Childbirth Education

A little preparation goes a long way in making your birth experience a positive one. Once you’ve decided to have your baby at Providence Hospital Northeast, sign up for our childbirth classes, designed to better prepare partners for the birth experience. Plan Carefully When Selecting a Physician for Your New Baby

Once your baby enters the world, he or she will need a pediatrician. This physician will take care of your child’s health care needs after delivery and throughout childhood. Start talking with different doctors several months before your delivery so that you and your partner have time to make a decision with which you both feel comfortable.
