Research Council

Nursing is a profession that is always looking for ways to improve our practice, patient care, and improve patient outcomes especially at Providence.  In 2001 an Institute of Medicine (IOM) report challenged all health care clinicians to provide care based upon the best available scientific evidence.  The goal of the Nursing Research Council at Providence is to integrate evidence based practice and nursing research into our culture.  Being able to practice what the evidence reveals can impact bedside nursing care.
