Research & Grants

Serving the health care needs of our communities is paramount to following the mission established by Providence Hospitals. Not only does the hospital system strive to sustain innovative centers of excellence within, its core values are demonstrated through various programs. And that requires special funding.

Opportunities for funding are found through grants which provide financial support for specific facilities, activities, programs or areas of interest. The extent of grant funding varies depending on the sponsor and the scope of the project. Grants can be limited to a specific time frame or it can be on-going, and generally do not require being paid back.

Grant seeking is big business; about $150 billion dollars is spent on grants each year in the U.S. alone, and more than nine thousand public and private granting programs can be identified.
