Providence Path for Aspiring Leaders

This program is designed to build a plan of action for future leaders of Providence Hospitals. Cultivating future leaders is key to assisting our organization in fulfilling our mission, vision and goals. Growing our own leadership provides opportunities to advance within the organization and increases the knowledge-base of new leaders being promoted from within.

Objectives

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Articulate the Mission, Vision and Values of Providence Hospitals.
  • Identify the characteristics and qualities of an effective leader.
  • Develop personal and professional goals.
  • Explain and execute Project Leadership and Project Life Cycle.
  • Interpret and understand the results of the DISC personality profile.
  • Identify leadership styles and integrate with personality profile.
  • Identify how to improve employee performance through coaching, mentoring, team building and conflict resolution skills building.
  • Design a development plan through behavior interviewing and performance management.
  • Examine how to create a culture of customer satisfaction by evaluating the results of the Press Ganey survey, exceptional customer service, including service recovery and facilitating change.
  • Discover tools for effective time management, delegation, productivity and staffing.
  • Compare and contrast Operational and Capital budgets. Analyze organizational financial data and be able to develop a corrective action plan.
  • Discuss Professional Career Development and design a personal Career Development plan based on identified goals.
  • Identify, plan, execute and evaluate one multi-department project.
  • Develop a mentoring relationship with a Management team member.
