During his tenure at Providence Hospital, Dr. Preston A. Jones has earned a reputation as

a “go-to” physician, the doctor colleagues want at their side when things get tough. An Anderson native and graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Jones began his career in service to his country. He completed his internship and residency at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, and his fellowship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington. He also served in numerous positions at Ft. Knox and at the Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center in Colorado. His training provided the foundation for diverse specialties that include pulmonology, allergies, critical care and internal medicine, as well as invasive bronchology – skills that earned him a listing in “Best Doctors in America” for 2007-2008.

And with his wife Leigh, he has brought the values, ethics, and moral qualities that have defined his professional service to his family and three children – Julie, Allen and Paul. Over the years, there has been no obstacle too high for Dr. Jones, no task too challenging, and no case too difficult.
