Pre-Operative Planning and Education

In our pre-op class, you will learn in detail the mechanics of the joint and how they relate to your procedure. A patient guidebook lets you know what to do before surgery, what to expect during your stay in the hospital, and how to care for yourself afterward.  You will meet members of your care team and learn each team member’s role in your care.  Discharge planning begins during this class and includes efforts, when necessary, to ensure a safe home environment.
