Nursing Students At Providence

Providence offers a wide range of opportunities for nursing students from pre-nursing to post graduate clinical experiences. Whether you are in a clinical group or are continuing your education, Providence is agreeable to support you whenever possible. Clinical groups are scheduled by the college or university through the course coordinator working with a liaison to coordinate the group orientation and other scheduled experiences.

Individual students seeking clinical hours for refreshers, continuing education or graduate level clinical rotations are also welcomed at Providence. In order to ensure that the clinical site is available when needed, it is necessary to contact Providence Hospitals at least a month prior to the requested clinical time. Generally, the hospital and the college or university enters into an agreement to accommodate the student. Because of requirements to meet accreditation standards of the hospital and the college or university, it can take a month or more to negotiate an agreement.
