The New Graduate Specialty Orientation is a unique program for new graduate nurses hired at Providence Hospitals, designed to address the individual needs. This orientation is a fully paid transitional program offering more than the usual nursing orientation programs provide. Through structured experiences, such as simulations and case scenarios, you will come to know that Providence cares about individuals holistically, whether they are patients or members of the Providence staff.
The program includes four to six months of orientation based on your practice setting. It starts with a week of didactic and skills review that's tailored for the new nurse and focused on high-risk acute care. Throughout the program, you will receive:
As part of the New Graduate Specialty Orientation program, Providence also offers specialized tracks for nurses in all areas of specialty including ICU, MCCU, CSR/ CVICU, OR, PACU, ED and CVOR. All new graduates are placed in the New Graduate Specialty Orientation program when hired into a Registered Nurse position.
