Going Home

Armed with information, your guidebook, and a family member or caregiver trained as your “coach,” you leave the hospital, generally by the third day following surgery. If needed, your case manager can arrange for a short stay at a skilled nursing facility for further assisted rehabilitation, but most people return directly to their homes. Home therapy or outpatient therapy at Providence or elsewhere can also be arranged by your case manager as needed.  You are ready to embark on your journey through rehabilitation and back to a better quality of life!
