Diagnostic Catheterization

Doctor backing through doorA diagnostic catheterization is performed in order to collect information. During a diagnostic catheterization, information is gathered and pictures are taken of the blood vessels, and it is determined whether there are possible blockages in those vessels.

Pressure measurements can also be taken inside the heart. Health conditions concerning the heart, valves and lungs can be diagnosed based on the findings.
