The Call ED service is an educator on call to support the clinician at the bedside for just in time learning needs. With new information and technology changes finding answers to a clinical based question can be time consuming while caring for a patient load. A just-in-time “Call ED” system that allows employees to immediately contact an expert instructor by dialing a single phone number. The instructor carrying the beeper identifies the learning needs and brings the appropriate resources, experts, etc. to the employee at that time. The instructor mentors the employee and helps them reflect on the events that occurred. The service provides resources to staff with varying levels of experience and competence.
