AHA Community Training Center Programs

Providence Hospitals Community Training Center (CTC) provides training to strengthen the “chain of survival” which is early access, early CPR, early defibrillation and early advanced life support.  Our goal is to support the AHA mission reducing disability and death from cardiovascular disease and stroke through the provision of quality life support education programs resulting in

  • Recognition and initiation of early management of conditions that may result in cardiac arrest or complicate resuscitation outcome.
  • Demonstration of proficiency in the provision of BLS care, including prioritizing chest compressions and integrating  Advance Care.
  • Recognition of life threatening clinical situations and initiate effective care.
  • Demonstration of effective communication as a member or leader of the resuscitation team.
  • Improved patient outcomes

Courses provided through the CTC include:

  • BLS HeartCode
  • BLS Provider
  • BLS Instructor
  • ACLS Provider
  • ACLS Instructor
  • PALS Provider
  • PALS Instructor

Courses are conducted in the clinical simulations lab.
