Providence Heart and Vascular Institute Ranked in Top 15% of over 1,000 Open Heart Surgery programs for the fifth straight year

Providence Heart & Vascular Institute has again been recognized for its quality outcomes. For the tenth consecutive rating period, the Institute has received “3 star” rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), the highest quality rating.

The rating places Providence Heart and Vascular Institute among the top programs in the country. In the most recent ratings, less than 15% of the 1,000 open heart surgery programs in the U.S. received a 3-star rating, which denotes the highest quality category in the STS rating system.
